The All-American road begins in Orange County and continues north though Los Angeles and Ventura County, winding up through the Central Coast, Big Sur, and the Monterey Bay area, and finally comes to an end north of San Francisco in Mendocino County. It’s an exhilarating drive along a twisting, cliff-hugging road. If you don’t have time for the whole thing, keep in mind that the Ventura County stretch, just north of LA, is especially stunning.
