This 55-mile-long stretch of scenic highway is nothing short of sublime. It affords breathtaking views of Los Angeles as it meanders along windy cliffsides, making dramatic zigzag turns up and down through canyons. A word to the wise: You are best off making this drive during the day (and not at night) due to the potentially dangerous conditions of the winding, narrow road.
