Angelina Jolie recently purchased a mansion in Laughlin Park neighborhood of Los Feliz. The famous A-Lister, also well known for her Humanitarian work, dropped a reported $24,500,000 on an 11,000 square foot estate with 6 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms.
The home is a former estate of legendary filmmaker Cecil B. DeMille with neighbors including such big names as Natalie Portman, David Fincher, Kristen Stewart, Ellen Pompeo, will.i.am, Lauren Graham and Casey Affleck. There are a total of six bedrooms and 10 bathrooms in about 11,000-square-feet of interior space divided between the approximately 7,500-square-foot main house, pool house and self-contained guesthouse/studio.
In 1913, a stately Italianate Revival villa as the main residence was built and acquired a few years later by Cecil B. DeMille for less than $28,000. Later on, the iconic filmmaker connected a smaller house (once occupied by silent film star Charlie Chaplin) next door with a lengthy breezeway and used as his screening room and production office.
