The three-time Oscar nominee Edward Norton purchased the 1967 built beach front home by architect John Lautner for $1.95 million less than it’s listed price.
Edward Norton and wife, Shauna Robertson, former movie producer with credits of Judd Apatow movies, purchased the 3,366-square-foot, five bedrooms and five bathrooms from occasional film producer and serial collector/restorer of architecturally significant homes in the L.A. area, Michael LaFetra.
LaFetra purchased the Malibu Stevens House in 2007 and done extensive restoration that included installation of cork floors and solar power. The split-level home also includes a cave-like family room/media lounge with wet bar and galley-style kitchen with built-in dining banquette and an airy, glass-walled living room with fireplace. A covered area has a long, slender swimming pool and opens to a grassy yard and beachside deck.
Other residents of the Colony enclave include Bing Crosby, Sting, Rob Reiner, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, and Jason Statham and Rosie Huntington-Whitely.
