This massive compound belongs to actors Will Smith and Jada Pinkett. Although the family has owned many luxury homes over the years, this particular property has just gone through two years of major renovations.
Designed by architect Stephen Samuelson (with interiors handled by Judith Lance), the house is very earthy, with earth tones and simple colors throughout. Jada told Architectural Design that they “wanted to create a family retreat, something made by hand and as natural as possible, something that ties back to the land”. It’s also very open, as you can see from this pictures of the living room, which opens to the outside, encouraging the welcoming family feel that is so characteristic of the Smith-Pinkett household.
While some may find Will Smith and Jada Pinkett’s mansion comfortable, earthy, and homey, others may think it is, quite simply, too large. The home is set on 25,000 square feet, and is nestled atop a hill on a mind-blowing 150 acres. The ranch style estate worth nearly $20 million is situated in a secluded spot in the Santa Monica mountain range overlooking Malibu.
