Francisco “Frankie” Muñiz IV was born on December 5, 1985, in Wood-Ridge, New Jersey. An actor, writer, producer, musician and raw car drive, there seems to be nothing he can’t do.
Before his break-out role as Malcom Wilkerson in Malcom in the Middle (2000-2006), which garnered him an Emmy Nomination, he started out doing commercials. His film debut was in the made for TV film, To Dance with Olivia in 1997 with Lou Gossett, Jr., where he had the small role of Oscar. His first starring role was in the multi-award nominated film, My Dog Skip (2000). From there Frankie Muñiz went on to star in such hits as, Big Fat Liar (2002) with Paul Giamatti, Agent Cody Banks (2003), and Agent Cody Banks 2: Destination London (2004).
2004 was also the year Frankie Muñiz started car racing. In 2009, he joined Team Stargate Worlds, a formula racing team which competes in the Atlantic Championship. He finished in the top ten in each race he participated in that year.
Since then, Muñiz has had some health problems and has cut back on his Hollywood and racing careers. He manages the alternative band, Astro Lasso and lives in Scottsdale, Arizona. He likes to vacation in Hawaii, and drives a Maserati. His net worth is estimated at $40 million.
