Rihanna is a multi-platinum megastar known globally for her hits Disturbia, Diamonds, S&M among many others. The Barbadian-born singer became a household name following her release of the single Umbrella, which garnered international recognition almost over-night. In 2012 she followed up with the release of a Grammy Award winning album Unapologetic and has since built her net worth to a mind-blowing $230 million. Rihanna’s success is often attributed to Jay Z, who at the time was the CEO of Def Jam and introduced her to the music mogul L.A. Reid. That meeting resulted in a six album deal, which helped her relocated from Barbados to Los Angeles. In 2009, the singer purchased a home in Beverly Hills for $6.9 million. The real estate purchase proved to be a disaster when a moderate rainstorm in 2010 forced her to file a law suit against the realtor and take a $2.4 million loss on the house due to extensive water intrusion. The mansion has since been fixed up and sold to John Legend and Chrissy Teigen.
