When Steve Jobs passed away in October of 2011, he was worth $10.2 billion, most of that coming from his work with Apple and Pixar. While Apple and Jobs had a sometimes rocky relationship, there is no doubt that Steve Jobs was a technical genius and visionary who literally changed the world we live in. Steve Jobs gave us the iMac, iPod, iPhone, iPad and iTunes. He worked with Pixar on better ways to animate. At the time of his death, he owned two homes in California, the Jackling House in Woodside and a $2.6 million home in Palo Alto. With only two homes, Steve Jobs found other ways to spend money. He drove a Mercedes Benz SL 55 AMG and a 1966 R60/2 BMW motorcycle. While his favorite vacation destination was Yosemite National Park, Steve Jobs would take off in his Gulfstream V Jet to Kona Island, Hawaii or to Paris to visit the Louvre. He collected Ansel Adams photography, did Calligraphy and loved Bob Dylan music. The thing that Steve Jobs spend most of his money on wasn’t even finished when he died. He designed a concept high-tech yacht. It has never sailed.
