The man that invented Mickey Mouse needs no introduction. Everyone in the world knows the name Walt Disney. Although he died in 1966, he still has a net worth of $5 million. He lived in Kansas City from 1911 to 1923, before moving to Los Angeles and co-founding the Walt Disney Company. The last home that Walt Disney lived in is now on the market for $90 million. It is located in Holmby Hills. His wife lived there until her death. Walt Disney was a screenwriter, director, film producer and entrepreneur, but he will always be known as an animator with his creation of Mickey Mouse. Walt Disney built an empire on that Mouse and as a result, won 22 Academy Awards out of 59 nominations, has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, 7 Emmy Awards and is beloved worldwide. With his first film, Snow White, in 1938, he proved that adults would sit through a cartoon. That lead the theme parks in California, Florida, France, Japan and, just now opening, Singapore.
