American actress, Annette Carol Bening is at home on the big screen, small screen and the stage. She began acting professionally in 1980 with the Colorado Shakespeare Festival.

Born on May 29, 1958, in Topeka, KS, Annette Being moved to San Diego, CA with her family when she was in junior high. It was there that she developed an interest in acting and landed the main role of Maria in her schools production of The Sound Of Music. Bening’s film debut came in 1988 with the supporting role of Myra Lang in The Great Outdoors. From there the sky was the limit. In 1999, she starred with Kevin Spacey in American Beauty, which won an Academy Award for best picture. Bening was nominated for Best Actress and won the SAG award for her role in the film. She will also be starring in the upcoming film, Life Itself, which will be released in 2018.

Annette Being has received 1British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) award, 1 Screen Actors Guild (SAG) award, 2 Golden Globes and 4 Academy Awards. In 1987, she was nominated for a Tony Award for her work in Coastal Disturbances. It was her first Broadway role. In 2006, Annette Bening received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

In 1991, Bening starred with Warren Beatty in the film, Bugsy. On March 3, 1992, Bening and Beatty married, ending Warren Beatty’s long-time bachelorhood. They have 4 children.
