Chris Brown is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, dancer, actor, and entrepreneur. He was born on May 5, 1989, in Tapphann0ck, Virginia and spent his early years listening to his parent’s soul records. While listening to those records, he taught himself how to sing and dance, often performing in his church’s choir. Chris Brown credits Michael Jackson and Usher for influencing his style. His awards include 3 MTV awards, 14 BET awards, 4 American Music Awards and 1 Grammy.

In 2004, Chris Brown signed with Jive Records and released his debut album, Chris Brown, in 2005. The album went double platinum and garnered two Grammy nominations for Brown. The single “Run It!” stayed at No. 1 on Billboard’s music charts for five weeks. He was only 16 years old at the time. Brown followed up with the release of his second album, Exclusive, in 2007 and hasn’t looked back. In 2011, he released F.A.M.E., which one a Grammy for the best R&B Album. Brown will be releasing his new album, Heartbreak On A Full Moon Lake, in late 2017.

Like so many talented artists, Chris Brown has also stuck his toe in the acting waters. In 2006, he release the DVD, Chris Brown’s Journey, complied of video from the back stage of his tour, the Grammy’s, and jokes and bloopers. In 2007, he had a small role on the TV series The O.C., and played the role of Michael ‘Baby’ Whitfield in the film, This Christmas. He as also appeared on Disney’s The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, as well as other small screen shows.

In 2007, Chris Brown started his own music production company, CBE, with Interscope Records. The rock group, U.G.L.Y and Kevin McCall are signed to the label. Chris Brown also owns 14 Burger King franchises, proving Brown is a very busy man!

Chris Brown is single and has one daughter, Royalty.
