Cristiano Ronaldo is the top-ranked soccer player in the world. He was born on February 5, 1985 in Santo António, Funchal, Madeira in Portugal. He plays the positions of Forward, Winger and Captain for Real Madrid in Spain and is on the Portugal National Team.

When Cristiano Ronaldo was 14, he dropped out of school to play soccer semi-professionally. At 18, he started playing with Manchester United and helped the team to the FA Cup finals. Ronaldo won his first Premier League title in the 2006-2007 season. The same season in which he scored 20 goals. In the 2007-2008 season, Cristiano Ronald upped the ante by scoring 42 goals  and helped Manchester United win the FIFA Club World Cup held in Japan.

Cristiano Ronaldo signed with Cal Madrid for the 2009-2010 season and is the club’s best score of all time. His contract comes up for renewal in 2021. Constantly in the running for soccer’s best player with Lionel Messi, this sports rival has reached epic proportions. Cristiano Ronaldo’s 2016 salary was $88 million, including endorsements, such as fashion lines and fragrances. Ronaldo own’s two clothing stores, one in Madeira and one in Lisbon, Portugal.

Known for his “hot headedness” on the field, Cristiano Ronald is also known for his generosity. After the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami, Ronaldo raised money for the relief fund. He raised money to fight Ebola in Africa and is the Save The Children ambassador. He is also generous with the hospital in Madeira.

Cristiano Ronaldo is single and has one son.
