Daren Metropoulos is a son of billionaire businessman and investor C. Dean Metropoulos. The 32-year old has served as the principal of the family-owned empire C. Dean Metropoulos & Company whose focus is on investing and relaunching such brands as Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer, Perrier Jouët Champagne, Hostess, Ghirardelli Chocolates, Chef Boyardee, Bumble Bee Tuna among many others. The family’s reported net worth is over $2.6 billion. In 2009 Metropoulos purchased the property next door to the Playboy Mansion in the exclusive neighborhood of Beverly Hills. The savvy business man and ruthless negotiator managed to score a deal paying only $18 million out of the asking $28 million for the home. Then in 2016, Metropoulos stuck another once-in-a-lifetime deal with the Playboy founder Hugh Hefner when he purchased his legendary Playboy Mansion. Hefner accepted $100 million after the 5 acre estate sat on the market for two months with a price tag of $200 million. The only condition was that Hefner would remain a resident at the mansion until he passes away.
