Born Aubrey Drake Graham on October 24, 1986, Toronto, Canada, Drake is a rapper, songwriter, singer, actor and record producer. He cites Kayne West, Jay Z and Lil Wayne as having a major influence on his music.

Drake started out acting in the teen TV series, Degrassi: The Next Generation. The series ran from 2001 to 2005. In 2006, Drake self-released his debut mixtape, Room For Improvement. It only sold about 6,000 copies. In 2007, he released his next tape, Comeback Season under his own label, October’s Very Own. The song, Replacement Girl, brought him to the attention of Lil Wayne and they toured together. However, Drake was still unsigned to any label after the tour.

In 2009, Drake released So Far Gone and allowed free downloads of the tape on his website. In the first 2 hours, the tape was downloaded 2,000 times. He was quickly signed to Young Money Entertainment.

Since beginning his career, Drake has won 4 American Music Awards, 12 BET awards and 3 Grammy Awards. He vacations at the exclusive resort, Casa de Campo, on the Dominican Republic. Drake is single and doesn’t have any children. His net worth is estimated to be $78 million.
