Born in Paterson, New Jersey on March 11, 1985, Greg Walter Olsen showed promise in sports at an early age. After being nominated for the Gatorade Player of the Year award for High School Football, Olsen started his college football career at Notre Dame, but transferred to the University of Miami during his Freshman year. He became a starter for the Hurricanes his sophomore year.

Greg Olsen was drafted by the Chicago Bears as the 31st pick of the first round in the NFL draft. He stayed with the Bears from 2007 t0 2010, when he was traded to the Carolina Panthers, where he plays the position of Tight End. During his first year with the Panthers, Olsen caught 45 receptions for a total of 540 yards, and scored 5 Touch Downs, making him a favorite target for Quarterback Cam Newton.
