Elon Musk, SpaceX and Tesla creator, recently purchased himself a $17 million dollar Bel Air mansion that features a 1,000 bottle wine cellar.

Another powerful mogul who has always been a part of LA is the late Jim Buss; the Co-Owner of the Lakers. The historic NBA franchise has helped the Buss family accumulate their wealth throughout the last few decades and its current value is 2.7 billion dollars. (According to Forbes) Jim’s estate is selling one of his many LA properties for a cool $8.8 million dollars.  It’s a staples center adjacent penthouse at the Ritz-Carlton. This eye-popping residence is ultra modern and comes with floor to ceiling windows that offer, an amazing view of Downtown and the Hollywood sign. Your famous neighbors would be Landon Donovan and Mary Hart.

Did you know that you could own a property at the Ritz-Carlton? That’s fancy!

In 2015, Donald Sterling added an $18.4 million dollar Beverly Hills mansion to his real estate portfolio. It’s a house on a 1.59-acre corner lot on Sunset Boulevard. That is some top of the line real estate and it comes with 5 bedrooms, a library, a guesthouse, a pool and a wetbar. Donald Sterling was recently forced to sell his L.A. Clippers sports franchise for $2 billion dollars; our guess is he is going to buy a few more properties!

Sticking to the billionaires club, David Geffen who built a music industry empire here in Los Angeles, also happens to be an active buyer/seller on the real estate market. Currently, his $100 million Malibu spread is up for sale. You wouldn’t have to be a mogul to know that it was a good idea to buy land on this beautiful coastline.

The business magnates although rich and powerful, still are humans and many of them want to be around celebrities.  These wealthy executive types aren’t usually famous, but their money opens the doors to the most exclusive circles in LA. It’s not a rare occasion to hear about a party hosted by the Hulu CEO Jason Kilar that was attended by Leonardo Dicaprio and Jonah Hill.

Judd, the director of such hilarious films like Anchorman and 40-Year-Old Virgin is also no rookie to the LA real estate market. He has long been an owner in this city. As of recent his Malibu Beach House went on the market for $12 million.

What about Hugh Hefner? The man who is responsible for some of the most scandalous celebrity parties ever, still lives and works from the Famous Playboy Mansion located in the Holmby Hills neighborhood. The well-known estate features 29 rooms, a lagoon style pool and the iconic grotto.  It is currently listed on the market for $200 million. But if you were to buy the property, be aware, Hugh Hefner living there until he dies is part of the deal! No joke, he will be your roommate if you purchase the mansion that includes a home theatre, a wine cellar and is also one of the few LA homes with a zoo license.
