Bio

Jack Haley was an American stage, radio, and film actor best known for his portrayal of the Tin Man in the now-classic film The Wizard of Oz.

Jack Haley house former spanish-style home, which sits in the flats of Beverly Hills. The two-story home, built in 1926, had a living, family and dining rooms, a kitchen with a breakfast area and pantry, a sun room, a den, an office, four bedrooms and four bathrooms in 4,889 square feet.

The building was designed for Haley and his wife Flo. The pair lived in the penthouse apartment for twenty years. The rounded exterior walls and second floor balconies with railings suggest a luxury ocean-going liner.

It is on record that during the summer of 1960, Senator John F. Kennedy occupied the penthouse during the Democratic National Convention.

Haley died in 1979 at age 80.
