John Goodman began acting after a football injury cut his college career short. The career move has proven to have paid off for John Goodman who is now a celebrated actor with an impressive net worth of $65 million. His early films include Eddie Macon’s Run and True Stories, which would be his breakthrough comedy role. At this time, he was also active in theater through the role of Pap Finn in the original 1985 production of Big River. Perhaps his most notable role was Dan Conner in the television sitcom Roseann which aired for nine seasons. It was rumored that John Goodman was paid a six-figure amount per episode. He also played Fred Flinstone in the film adaptation of The Flinstones and has been a longtime collaborator of The Coen Brothers, appearing in The Big Lebowski, O Brother Whereart Thou?, and other Coen Brothers films. John Goodman also provides the voice of Sulley for Disney’s Monsters, Inc. franchise. He’s been awarded at the Golden Globes and Emmys as well as honored with Disney Legend Award. Although beloved by Hollywood, John Goodman settled in New Orleans in a 4,900 square-foot home with his wife and daughter.
